Welcome to our July blog hop. As alot of you know A group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators get together to bring you a monthy blog hop. This month is all about ribbon.
You may have just come over from Di Dunks site but don't worry if you haven't you will get to all the sites eventually if you just follow the links at the end of each page.
I have used the wide grosgrain striped ribbon for my projects tonight. One quite busy, the other I like to use the saying less is more.
I have used Old Olive grosgrain ribbon with matching card stock and ink, some very vanilla to stamp on and some crumb cake card stock to break it up. The stamp set is from the mini which finishes on the 31st of this month and it is called Nature's Walk. Other than the lovely leafy stem it has a bird, butterfly, bee, a cage and a few more. I you want this set before it runs out just contact me before the end of the month.
My next card is very simple, I split some real red wide grosgrain ribbon down the middle and heated the ends so they won't fray. Some more crumb cake and very vanilla card stock along with the happy birthday from bring on the cake stamp set, another great set from the mini. I do hope these make it into the main catalogue in September...fingers crossed. Real red ink sponged onto the ends of the card stock to soften it and a few pearls to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions about the cards or Stampin' Up! send me an email I would be more than happy to help.
You are now off to Kathryn Ruddick's home on the web. I know you will love her work as much as I do...Grab a cuppa and enjoy what all the ladies have to offer. Don't forget to leave them a message to let them know you dropped by.
very very noice cards Alisha, I really love this ribbon just haven't known where to use it. Love the idea of splitting it into two - that's very clever.

Love them Alisha. I agree with Nikki. I didn't know you cold split the ribbon and 'burn' the edges to stop fraying. Great idea for something different.

I've been too afraid of that ribbon to use any until now -it is soooo wide! I will have to now though, your cards have inspired me!
